Out of an abundance of caution, we are going to hang up the peel and cease our regular Thursday bakes for the next wee while due to Covid 19 – it feels like the sensible thing to do in the current environment of “stay at home”.
We’ve consistently shown up for the last four years with regular weekly bakes, so it is going to feel a bit strange tomorrow with no loaves on the cooling racks. But the doors not closed for ever, this is just a temporary pause – sourdough starter culture will be looked after, and I daresay there will be the odd domestic sourdough loaf and pizza. Look after your neighbour y’all, buy good local independent food where you can, and we’ll do a shout out when we re-open. Love doughies
